In the months leading up to the Battle of the Department of Mysteries, Ciana had her worries. She didn't know why, but she did not want to aid in this part of the war against Voldemort. But she knew she could not be a coward and sit on the sidelines with Sirius. If she wanted the world to change, they needed to be there to help in any way they could. One night when they were getting ready for bed, Sirius finally asked her what was wrong. He had noticed her sullen mood and had been concerned for her. She confessed to him what was bothering her, and she kept thinking she was a bad person for feeling the way she did. Sirius told her that she wasn't a bad person for being worried. She would have to be insane to be perfectly calm on the inside and outside. On that night, they brought their daughter into their bed and cuddled throughout the night in reassurance of their lives. It was peaceful and serene, and she finally felt like she had nothing to truly worry about. And then June came along, and with it came the Battle. In that night, she lost her fiancée and her daughter lost her father. Grieve as she might, she had to remain strong to continue fighting for a better world for her daughter's future.
